The Kenya Aviation Workers Union KAWU, has issued a seven-day strike notice set to take effect on 20th July 2026. The union says the industrial action will involve workers at the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Airways and Jambojet, citing what it describes as persistent violations of collective bargaining agreements by the four institutions. KAWU is demanding immediate action to address the grievances, warning that failure to resolve the dispute could disrupt operations across the country's aviation sector.
