When the late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang coined his popular campaign slogan ‘bado mapambano’ perhaps he didn’t know it will one day be used as an international slogan to push for climate justice in Africa.
At COP27 in Sharm El-sheikh women climate activists from from across the continents sing the song which reverberated around the conference rooms as they pushed for climate justice in Africa. Kajwang is dead but his ‘Bado mapambano song” will continue to repeated many times as an echo to push for climate justice in Africa and around the globe.
