Rais Joe Biden akilaani kikundi cha wanamgambo wa Hamas kwa kufanya mashambulizi kadhaa yakushitua ndani ya Israeli wakati wa wikiendi, akiyaita ni “uovu kamili” na kuahidi kuisaidia Israeli.
Shambulizi hilo liliuwa mamia ya raia, wakiwemo Wamarekani wasiopungua 14.
Akizungumza kutoka katika Ukumbi wa White House, Biden alisema, “inawezekana tumehuzunishwa lakini iko wazi kwamba tuko imara.”
“Na pasipo na shaka,” Biden aliongeza. “Marekani itakuwa pamoja na Israeli. Tutahakikisha kuwa taifa la Kiyahudi na la kidemokrasia la Israeli linaweza kujihami lenyewe hivi leo, kesho kama tunavyofanya siku zote.” - AP
