Blow to Gachagua as 3-judge bench of the High Court rules Parliament followed the Constitution and relevant standing orders in impeaching him: "Parliament ought urgently to enact a dedicated statutory framework for the removal of the Deputy President under Article 150. We do observe, however, that the absence of such legislation does not invalidate the impeachment process already undertaken because the Constitution itself sets out the minimum threshold for conducting such proceedings.
