The rush against the 72-hour deadline to lay to rest the former prime minister, the late Raila Odinga, was at play today as his body was airlifted in a military aircraft, with the burial committee opting to avoid the road to save time from the thousands of mourners who were waiting to escort his body from Nairobi to Kisumu and Siaya counties.
