Bomet County Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok has urged residents to take individual responsibility of improving the environment by planting trees in their farms. Lauding the already ongoing afforestation initiatives by individuals and private institutions to restore Chepalungu forest, Prof. Barchok says prolonged dry spells and floods are as a result of environment disruption which needs immediate intervention. The county boss however revealed Bomet’s forest cover stands at 22 percent second after Nyeri county.
