The budget and appropriation committee of the National Assembly has today tabled 4.4 trillion budget estimates for the 2023/2024 financial year. according to the report signed by the committee chair Ndindi Nyoro, the fiscal deficit of 663.1billion shillings could increase should the Kenya Revenue Authority miss its ambitious 2.89trillion target, therefore, forcing the government to borrow more even as 850billion has been dedicated to repaying both local and foreign debt in the said financial year.
