Bungoma County benefits from Ksh 2 billion power project

The government plans to increase the budget allocated for rural electrification projects across the country as it continues to utilise some 8 billion shillings for nationwide electrification through the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC). Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi says the government aims to reach a 100 percent long term rural electrification by the year 2030.
