Busia residents raise alarm over Ebola risk at porous border points

    Busia residents have raised fears over the possible spread of the deadly Ebola virus through porous border points. They are now urging the Ministry of Health and the Busia County Government to enhance screening and testing at the Busia and Malaba borders following Ebola outbreaks in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As Emily Chebet reports, while passengers travelling by vehicle are screened, there are concerns over the lack of strict measures for people crossing the border on foot.
