As the world marks World Suicide Prevention Day under the theme “Changing the Narrative,” mental health stakeholders are calling for an end to stigma and a shift from shame and judgment to listening, support and empathy. The Kenya Red Cross Society, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other mental health stakeholders, has launched a handbook for religious leaders on how best to support people grappling with mental health challenges.
