Chiefs in Mandera County to be issued with firearms to protect themselves

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has assured the country that the Kenya- Somali border is safe and secure and reports of cross-border incursions in Mandera County are false. The CS who spoke during the Jukwaa La Usalama grassroots security forum also revealed that Mandera Chiefs will be issued with firearms to protect themselves.
