Child rights activists have raised alarm over rising cases of female genital mutilation and teen pregnancy in parts of Laikipia during this festive season. They are calling on the government to act urgently, warning that girls are at high risk of dropping out of school. Recent data from Anti-FGM advocates shows prevalence in some areas stands at 80 percent, compared to the national rate of 15 percent, down from 21 percent in 2014
