In a bid to clean up Kenya’s human resource sector, the Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations Board is now pushing for CHRP certification to become a key requirement for HR practitioners, in a move aimed at shutting out unqualified and illegal practitioners from the job market.
The board says the growing need for competent HR professionals demands early and proper certification, with universities now being encouraged to embrace dual certification, allowing students to pursue CHRP qualifications alongside their degree programmes.
