Church leaders and the business community in Embu County have jointly called on both national and county governments to urgently address rising insecurity and the high cost of borrowing, which they say are crippling local enterprises. Speaking during the annual Business Week at Deliverance Church in Blue Valley Estate, Bishop Stephen Njoroge decried the lack of government response to the destruction and looting that forced many businesses to shut down during the Gen Z-led protests in June. He urged authorities to establish stronger security mechanisms to protect business premises and restore confidence among entrepreneurs.
