In the last couple of years, the African continent has been rocked by a series of natural calamities, ranging from cyclones in Southern Africa to destructive floods and persistent drought cycles in East Africa and the Horn of Africa. Here at home, Northern Kenya has been on the receiving end of both extremes. The ongoing rains have wreaked havoc across the country, bringing floods that are stark difference from the ravaging drought experienced just weeks ago. Mary Muoki reports on the region and how it’s grappling with reality of two extremes
