Citizen Planet: Restoring Mau water towers through community-led efforts

The Mau Forest Complex, Kenya’s largest water tower, hosts numerous springs and is the source of major rivers that feed key lakes, including Lake Victoria. However, these vital springs are facing the threat of extinction due to mounting pressure from human activities. As Agnes Oloo reports, community-led restoration and protection efforts in South Western Mau are now helping to breathe new life into the endangered water sources.
