Civil society organizations, education officials, and disability advocates have raised concerns over the slow implementation of Kenya's inclusive education policies, warning that thousands of children with disabilities continue to face barriers to accessing quality education.
Speaking during the 16th Annual Civil Society Conference on Inclusive Education in Mombasa, stakeholders highlighted challenges including inadequate disability-friendly infrastructure, limited access to assistive devices, costly therapy services, insufficient data on learners with disabilities, and persistent social stigma.
