Coffee farmers from Kibingoti in Kirinyaga county are protesting low payouts after receiving Ksh. 94 per kilogram of cherry, despite their harvest being of high quality. The farmers claim this is significantly lower than neighboring factories which paid over Ksh. 120 per kilogram
