The government has challenged the contractor undertaking the multibillion-shilling Muruny-Siyoi Dam and Water Supply Project in West Pokot to accelerate construction and ensure residents begin benefiting from the project as soon as possible.
Water and Sanitation Principal Secretary Julius Tanui, during a fact-finding mission at the project site in Pokot South Sub County, said the government has allocated Sh2.2 billion in the current and previous budgets to support completion of the long-delayed project.
