Two of the suspects in the late Kasipul legislator Charles Ong’ondo Were’s murder case who want the Chief Magistrate to recuse herself from hearing the custodial application will be detained for 23 days together with other suspects. At Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Court, Trial Magistrate Irene Gichobi ruled that due to the complexity and gravity of the matter, keeping the suspects in custody was in the best interest of justice in order to allow completion of thorough investigations.
