CS Mvurya: Ithookwe Stadium in Kitui to be ready to host 2025 Mashujaa Day celebrations

Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya has assured Kenyans that the new 700 million shillings Ithookwe Stadium in Kitui is 96 percent complete and will be ready to host this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations. Mvurya, who toured the facility Tuesday alongside Interior Principal Secretary Dr Raymond Omollo and other senior government officials, said the 10-thousand-seater stadium will be handed over next week, ready to host the event on the 20th of this month. It will be the first time Kitui County is hosting a national celebration.
