The first phase of the Sh1.4 billion Liwatoni Fish Landing project is expected to be completed by December, the government has said.
Speaking in Mombasa, Mines and Blue Economy Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya said earlier delays in the completion of the project were caused by late payments to contractors.
CS Mvurya said the December deadline would be met after the contractor was paid Sh2 million in June.
