DCP party leader Gahagua says the president has neglected his supporters

Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has accused President William Ruto of neglecting his Rift Valley political base while allegedly prioritizing development projects in the Nyanza region ahead of the 2027 general election. Gachagua claims that the president has failed to fulfill the promises he made to the people of the Rift Valley during the last election campaign. He further alleged that members of parliament from the region are reluctant to openly criticize the head of state, even when development concerns arise
