Residents of Akingli village in Kisumu have resorted to capturing and ferrying baboons to the local KWS office, due to increased attacks on their farms by the primates. The residents are also counting losses, as the animals have destroyed crops that were due for harvesting and have begun attacking human beings. The Kenya Wildlife Service has cautioned residents against handling wildlife, which they say may turn fatal.
