Coffee farmers are tonight seeking the autonomy to sell their coffee directly to millers abroad, saying this is the only way to guarantee farmers of profits once their coffee hits international markets. This is one resolution that farmers want to be reached during the three-day coffee summit convened by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua in Meru County starting tomorrow, which will bring together all stakeholders in the coffee sub-sector, as the government seeks to deliver farmers from predatory brokers.
