Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has defended the government’s involvement in the affairs of The Nairobi Hospital, saying the move is aimed at safeguarding one of Kenya’s premier Level Six referral facilities amid concerns over governance and financial management.
Speaking during the Health Integration Summit in Mombasa, Duale clarified that the government has no intention of taking over the hospital but is obligated to ensure standards are maintained in a facility that plays a critical role in the country’s health system.
