EABL posts 49% jump in annual profit

East African Breweries has reported a 49 percent jump in full-year profit after tax to 18.2 billion shillings, driven by double-digit revenue growth, improved operational efficiency and lower financing costs. But even as the brewer celebrates a record financial performance, it says illicit alcohol, constrained consumer spending and expanding tax measures continue to pose significant risks to future growth.
