EACC ARRESTS NYAMIRA COUNTY ASSEMBLY CLERK OVER ALLEGED SH30 MILLION GRAFT

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested Nyamira County Assembly Clerk Duke Simeon Onyari over alleged corruption and the loss of Sh30 million linked to the construction of the Nyamira County Assembly office block. According to EACC South Nyanza Regional Manager Alfred Mwachugha, investigations revealed alleged irregularities in the procurement process and the award of the construction tender to Jetta Builders Limited despite the company not being the lowest evaluated bidder.
