The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) says it is finalising investigations into corruption-related cases within the Siaya County Government, including alleged irregular employment practices and fictitious imprests that reportedly led to the loss of millions of shillings.
EACC Regional Manager Abraham Kemboi said some of the completed investigations have already been forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions with recommendations to charge both junior and senior county officials for alleged embezzlement of public funds and abuse of office.
He also noted that the commission has filed several court cases aimed at recovering assets and funds allegedly acquired through corruption, warning that action will be taken against individuals found misusing public resources.
