The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC is warning public officials sabotaging the government’s efforts to fight illicit brew. The Commission’s spokesperson Erick Ngumbi says some officials at Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya Bureau of Standards and National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse are compromising the vetting of liquor vendors by demanding or accepting bribes in order to pardon or waive enforcement action against errant ones.
