Stakeholders in the coffee sector have been urged to embrace transparency, digitization, value addition, and sustainable farming practices to enhance competitiveness in the global coffee market.
Speaking during the East Africa Coffee Markets and Conference (EACMC) 2026 Breakfast Meeting in Nairobi, Principal Secretary for Cooperatives Patrick Kilemi said the growing demand for traceability, quality assurance, and sustainability requires stronger certification and compliance systems across the coffee value chain.
