The East Africa Students Union has welcomed the candidature of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to contest for the African Union Commission chairperson. In a statement, EASU expressed confidence in Raila's vast experience in global leadership, adding that he is the befitting candidate for the continental post.EASU president Antony Manyara urged all student bodies, youth organizations and lobby groups across the continent to show support for the former Prime Minister ahead of the elections in February 2025. The winner of the polls will succeed Chad's Moussa Faki, who has served two-terms.
