Economic survey validates some Ruto claims, questions others

President William Ruto has been consistent in referencing numbers to defend his economic track record. While the 2026 Economic Survey supports some of his assertions, such as growth in milk production and on the length of roads, it has discredited other numbers such as the maize harvest between 2024 and 2025 and the number of jobs created through the Affordable Housing programme.
