Education CS disputes the Sh7.9B lecturers are claiming in arrears

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba says the ongoing University lecturers strike is illegal and unprotected after its suspension by the Employment and Labor Relations Court on September 19, 2025. Appearing before the plenary of the National Assembly, Ogamba also said that 7.2 billion shillings of the 7.9 billion shillings Common Bargaining Agreement award owed to the lecturers has been paid with only 624 Million remaining.
