Education officials in Thika have embarked on an intensive mop-up exercise to ensure all learners who completed Grade 9 have reported to secondary school, warning that no Grade 10 student will be allowed to remain at home as learning continues across the country.
The officials said the exercise targets parents and guardians who have delayed enrolling their children in senior school, insisting that basic education is compulsory. Parents holding their children home without genuine reasons will be dealt with.
