A family in Bomachoge Chache, Kisii County, can finally breathe a sigh of relief after the body of their kin, who died in Dubai, was repatriated following months of uncertainty and emotional distress. The family's plight had earlier been highlighted by Citizen TV, drawing support and sympathy from Kenyans and well-wishers. Twenty-seven-year-old Fraser Ogachi Ontiri died suddenly in Dubai, with his body remaining at a mortuary for more than four months due to the lack of nearly 1.9 million shillings required for clearance and transportation back to Kenya. The family’s ordeal eased after a well-wisher stepped in and settled the amount, paving the way for the repatriation and preparations for a befitting sendoff in line with Abagusii traditions. Fraser’s body arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and is expected to be buried during a special ceremony at his rural home in Bomachoge Chache.
