World football governing body FIFA has lifted the suspension it imposed on kenya on February 24. In a letter addressed to Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Secretary General Barry Otieno, FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura said the world football governing body arrived at the decision to lift the suspension following the reinstatement into office of the FKF executive committee by the new sports CS Ababu Namwamba. FIFA has also asserted that FKF have been handed back the offices. The letter added that a FIFA-CAF mission will be deployed to Nairobi in order to define the next steps for the FKF and also meet with the newly appointed cabinet secretary for sports Ababu Namwamba.
