The first cohort of CBE students is set to join the university in 2026

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has urged universities to start preparations for the first cohort of the competency-based education students who will be transitioning to the universities in 2029. Speaking during the 14th Kisii University graduation ceremony, Ogamba called on universities to work together with the Commission for University Education in developing programs that align with the competency-based education and training in readiness for the admission of the first cohort.
