Families displaced by floods who have been camping at Lunyofu primary school in Budalangi Busia county are calling on the government to compensate them and provide them with alternative shelter ahead of reopening of schools on Monday. The families who sought refuge at the school are in limbo after the government announced the reopening of schools. This comes as families affected by floods across the country continued to receive humanitarian assistance following heavy rains that left in its wake death, destruction and displacement.
