More than half of the Counties at 27 are most affected by the ongoing rains and the need for humanitarian assistance is growing. This emerged as the government Monday announced disaster response and security teams have been activated to identify locations likely to be marooned by floods as it scales up measures to address flooding. This comes as a section of leaders from Wajir County say the situation is dire calling on the government to declare the ongoing rains a national disaster.
