Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now says the 4 billion shillings announced by the government to address the drought crisis in northern Kenya is too little to address the needs of the 3.3 million people in dire need of food and water in the region. Addressing the media at his DCP party offices here in Nairobi, Gachagua called on President William Ruto to declare the situation a national disaster, citing 10 counties which are in the red.
