The Government has commenced the first Phase of drought relief interventions in Mandera County, by providing food, non-food support and water assistance to cushion communities severely affected by the ongoing drought. Similarly, the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) has kicked off a food distribution program in the area targeting hundreds of households.
