Over 14,000 learners from needy and marginalised families who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examinations in 2023 are set to benefit from full government sponsorship of their secondary school education under the Elimu Scholarship Programme. Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced that this is the 5th cohort of beneficiaries of the programme which has so far benefitted 52,000 learners.
