The State Department of Livestock Development has announced plans to partner with county governments and other stakeholders to implement timely interventions aimed at addressing emerging challenges facing the livestock sub-sector in Kenya.
Speaking during this year’s Mt Kenya Branch Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show in Nanyuki Town, Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke said livestock diseases, rangeland degradation, and poor market access continue to hinder livestock production across the country.
