Government releases over Shs 44 billion in capitation for term one

The government has today released 44.2 billion shillings as capitation for term 1 for learners in all public schools. Free Day Secondary Education has received the biggest chunk of the money, amounting to over 26 billion shillings. The Ministry of Education has in the meantime, directed school heads to ensure prudent use of the resources and cautioned against imposing any extra levies or fees.
