GOVERNMENT TO REVIVE EDUCATION ASSESSMENT CENTRES FOR LEARNERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

    The government has announced plans to revive Education Assessment Resource Centres (EARCs), beginning with 10 regional facilities, to improve the identification, assessment and placement of learners with special needs. Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba said the government has allocated approximately Sh130 million to rehabilitate the first 10 regional centres. Development partners will also be engaged to support the restoration of 46 additional facilities.
