The Nyanza and Western IDPs Caucus has expressed concern over the possibility of further displacement of people if the current escalation of political tensions, described as the "sounding of war drums", continues across the country. Erick Oyugi, the caucau’s director, while speaking during a meeting of its members at Suneka Market hall in Bonchari Constituency of Kisii County, alleged that both the national government and the opposition were complicit in fueling political unrest through their inflammatory statements. Oyugi urged all parties to de-escalate tensions and embrace dialogue for the sake of national peace and stability.
