GOVERNMENT URGES FARMERS TO ADOPT EARLY MATURING SEEDS AMID CLIMATE CHANGE

The government is urging farmers across the country to adopt early-maturing and climate-resilient seed varieties to cope with changing weather patterns and reduce crop losses. Speaking in Trans Nzoia during the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Kenya Seed Company, Agriculture Principal Secretary Dr. Kipronoh Rono said the government has invested heavily in seed production to improve farmers’ access to certified and well-researched varieties.
