Kirinyaga leaders mount pressure on the government over persistent delays in the issuance of national identity cards, with a section of Kirinyaga leaders now alleging a calculated scheme to disenfranchise thousands of young voters ahead of future elections.
The concerns were raised during a DCP party leaders' grassroots meeting held in Murinduko Ward, where leaders warned that the slow pace of ID processing is not only inconveniencing citizens but also threatening their constitutional right to participate in democratic processes.
