Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja is currently disbursing bursary cheques to 124,100 students at Nairobi Primary School, in Kilimani Ward, amid outrage by Members of Parliament over the lack of CDF disbursements. In the 2023 - 2024 Financial Year, the Nairobi County Government increased Ward bursaries to 7 million shillings per Ward from 6 Million the previous year. The event follows the launch of the "Soma na Glo Public Schools Degongestion Program " in which 80 LEARNERS were transferred from congested primary schools in Dagoreti North constituency to Kileleshwa Primary school.
